What is an Earth Protection Agent?
An Earth Protection Agent is anyone between the ages of 8 and 80 years old who wants to help protect Oahu’s land and water resources for future generations. You too can join this elite group of citizens dedicated to making a cleaner and safer Hawaii.

How do I become an Earth Protection Agent?
After filling out the registration form (download the form here), find out where and when the next training session will be. You can also sign up and receive training at a Kama’aina KiSds site. Then follow these three easy steps:

1. Complete the one hour training. (click here for a schedule of training.)
2. Take a pledge to care for the Earth and participate in at least one environmental activity in the next 12 months, e.g. stream or beach clean-up, stenciling of storm drains.
3. Create or participate in one educational environmental activity in the next 12 months, e.g. write an essay, create a poster, participate in the City’s Model Watershed Contest.

What do I have to do as an Earth Protection Agent?

1. Report potential violations to the special telephone number provided by the City and County of Honolulu.
2. Share what you know with your family and friends. Help educate others about the impact we have on our environment and our natural resources. This will ensure that future generations can enjoy the same quality of life that we enjoy today.
3. Use common sense in your daily lives. This can be as easy as disposing properly of litter and other pollutants.
